Ally (RYT 200) found yoga in 2010 in college when she was required to take a physical education class. As the epitome of chaos and seemingly the opposite of a “yogi” she was hesitant. What she discovered was a non-judgmental teacher and tools of remedy to curb her anxiety and persistent hip problems. Fast forward a few years down the road after an on-again-off-again-relationship with yoga, she finally delved in and created a disciplined home practice. Fast forward a couple more years where she found home in a studio called Vital Glow Yoga. There she completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in June 2018. Ally found mental and physical relief in her practice and wants to share that solace with others. She’s wants people to feel comfortable and safe on their mats, to encourage laughter, and to remind people that there’s no such thing as a “perfect yogi.” Over the years she has found that slowing down has done wonders for her personally, and likes to integrate that into her classes. Ally’s classes flow slightly slower, poses are held a bit longer, and focus on breath and alignment. She also loves to throw in yummy hip-openers whenever possible. Whenever Ally’s not teaching or working her nannying job, you’ll find her hiking, reading, or creating art with a glass of red wine in hand.
